How many books do you purchase and read from cover to cover? Amazon has a new section of Kindle eBooks called Short Reads. Kindle Short Reads can be read within a time range of 15 minutes up to 2 hours or more. The page count for a Kindle Short Read ranges from 1 page to 100 pages. The question I had and the question you may have right now is how many words make up the average kindle page?
If I write a 250 word story in Microsoft Word, how many pages can I expect it to be on Kindle? If I write a 25, 000 word story in Microsoft Word, how many pages can I expect it to be in Kindle?

Recently I published a Kindle Short Read eBook. It hit #1 Best Seller in three categories! It is 18 pages and will take you less than 30 minutes to read. My total Word Count is approximately 4500 words divided by 250 = 18 pages. Therefore I’m concluding that a Kindle word count per page is approximately 250 words in Microsoft Word. Of course, all of this may vary based on font size, margins and overall formatting.
WARNING:
Be aware that a lot of people are not aware of this new category of Kindle Short Reads and will expect your eBook to fit the traditional length. Currently, I’ve received all 5 star reviews with one exception. After I read it again, I said to my self – ‘this review was not to bad.’ I would love to hear your opinion of my Short Read eBook. “Although this “e-book” had good content, I regret spending my money. It was more like an into to a book, a devotional, or a sales pitch. It took me all of maybe 10 minutes to read. I was just getting warmed up when I realized I was at the end of the book, and If I wanted all the good stuff, I was going to have to pay for his program. I was suggested this book from another site. I was very excited to get to read this. Now I just see he is trying to lure people in. Disappointed to say the least.”
